Over
the years you've asked us "Why is your name Courtyard
of Romance?"
Love
is in the air, so I thought this would be a good time
to explain this fun fact to you, our newsletter subscibers
and loyal customers around the world.
Courtyard
was built as a labor of from the hearts two soul mates,
Ron and Yvette, the original owners of C.O.R.
|
The
two were drawn to Josephine’s artwork while on a romantic
getaway and soon fell in love with each other as well as Jo's
artwork.
Ron
soon purchased numerous items for Yvette. Over time their
love for each other blossomed as did their passion for promoting
Josephine’s artwork, collecting original paintings as
well as creating new products.
Josephine
featured them in the breathtaking painting "Neptune’s
Wedding" (pictured to the right) as a wedding gift and
token of friendship.
 Over
the years they began inviting Josephine and Bob to the U.S.
and we enjoyed creating numerous memories and good times together.
We immediately realized Josephine and Bob were also very special
soul mates.
Many
of you might recognize a great resemblance to Josephine and
Bob from the painting titled "Magic Moment" pictured
to the left.
Over
the years we've enjoyed spending time with Josephine and Bob.
In 2003, as the webmaster, I had the special honor of being
invited to N.Y. with my fiancé as well as Ron, Yvette,
Bob and Josephine. It was a wonderful and romantic week for
us during our courtship. We all enjoyed strolling through
Times Square, fine dining and few late night adventures with
our old friends as well as our new ones.
As
time passed we were married and in 2008, after over 8 years
of assisting Ron and Yvette, we had the honor of taking sole
responsibilty for the legacy of Courtyard of Romance.
Like
you we enjoy Jo's artwork and subject matter, which is so
often romantic fantasy. Below
you'll see a few products my wife and I have selected together
to illustrate this.
